You name it Brendan has got it done at every level when it comes to football and beyond
- Divison-1 Football State Champ
- Team Captain
- Team MVP
- Multi-Sport Athlete
He's accomplished alot in his 4-year football career and he did not want it to end there.
He set his sights on playing not only at the next level, but to play Divison-1 college football.
With his relentless effort and team player attitude, he drew interest from smaller D-3 schools such as Alma and Sienna Heights but he had his eyes set on his dream school...
Central Michigan University where his brother attended.

Despite being a team captain, D1 state champion, one of the hardest workers in the room, the first one in and last one out, he would constantly hear the same thing from college football coaches:
- You're a little too undersized
- Just one step too slow
- We are going in a different direction at that position
He put together a stellar career that most high school football athletes could only dream about yet still not many coaches would give him the offer he was seeking.
So he turned to what he known best, consistent hard work and effort.
Brendan didn't want his dreams to fizzle out.
He made it to the camps he was invited to by the coaches to get face time with them to prove that he could play at the next level and that he would be an asset to any team.
On top of his email follow ups with coaches, camp attendance he knew he would also have to prepare his body to play with the bigger, faster and stronger guys in college.
Despite going to the gym on his own and unsure of what to really do to get faster and more explosive, his friend invited him to come to a training session at Athletic Preparation in Auburn Hills.
" After the first session, I was all-in!! "
Brendan's Strength & Conditioning Training
Brendan came in for training with us 4-5 days / week and was consistent from April to July (4-Months) participating in football specific strength and conditioning program that included:
Football Workout
First we started with his end goal in mind (in order of importance)
- Get faster
- Be ready to RUN
Brendan was enrolling early at CMU to get in and know the system as soon as possible (he wants to see the field as soon as possible).
The most transferrable skill college football coaches look for in a player is - Speed!
Meaning, are they fast and do they move well.

One day about 3-months into training Brendan came in with a smirk on his face ...
I asked him ...
" What's going on, how you feeling today ? "
(he just came back from Freshman orientation at CMU Football)
He replied ..
" Dude! I just got back from camp and I felt great! Coaches noticed I bulked up a bit and got a little quicker! "
" Nice man, super proud of ya and I'm excited for you to get to school " - I replied.

Brendan not only made it to all of his training sessions and gave relentless effort that day, but raised everyones level around him aswell.
He's a natural leader who's effort is contagious and always looks for the advantages that are hidden in the hard work that not many others are willing to do.
During his football strength and conditioning program he focused on:
- Improving his sprinting technique
- Raising his maximal strength levels in his main lifts
- Developing a more rapid rate of force development (RFD)
- Building lean muscle mass
- Followed a properly periodized strength and conditioning program for football
He didn't look for any shortcuts and got straight to work, was extremely coachable and achieve results to help him move closer to his dreams of playing at the next level.
Brendan's Football Transformation Wrap-Up
There are many hard working and dedicated high school football players who want to get bigger, faster and stronger so they can become a starter or standout to make it to the next level.
Things that are holding them back are they do are not big enough or fast enough to even be noticed by a coach and once they do, they need to know how to play the game as well, but many are dismissed just because they don't have the physical requirements.
They don't know what to do when they go into the gym, they don't know how to train to take their performance to the next level - they need guidance and expertise which is what Brendan sought out and it helped him make it to the next level, we are excited to see what you accomplish on and off the field at CMU!
